What’s New With join.me?

By Jen Mathews
Senior Public Relations Manager

This month we have released a few updates to the join.me desktop apps that we think we have a big impact of your next meeting.

Mac Users:

Get to Know Your Meeting Attendees: In a meeting with people you just met? If you’re on a Mac you can simply click on their bubble to see their online business card” with more information about who they are and what they do. Make sure you keep your own join.me profile up-to-date so others have the most current information about who you are and what you do.

New Chat UI: We gave the chat window some much deserved love. This will probably looks familiar if you use iMessage. The new UI makes it super clear who you’re messaging and unread messages will show up on the chat button in the join.me main UI, and the join.me dock icon, so you’ll never miss another message. We also implemented standard system notifications for incoming chat messages. This also also allows you to reply inline to your messages.

Window’s Users:

Easier Identification: We’ve made it easier than ever to visually identify who is taking certain actions in a meeting by adding the avatars to actions. So when you pass presenter or remote control you’ll know your passing it to the right person.

Videoconferencing Updates: Now participants who have their video switched on will be prioritized to be shown on the screen ahead of those who haven’t turned their web cam on while the screen is being shared.
