Spring Clean Your Account

Sometimes there are actual roadblocks between you and cleaning…

…And sometimes all it takes is some willpower and a motivational playlist. If you find yourself with a quiet afternoon, take a little time to spring clean your account!

Discover treasures in your recordings

My favorite part of spring cleaning is rediscovering old favorites in the back of my closet that I haven’t seen in a while (hello, open-toed shoes!), and you can do the same when it comes to recordings. By default, they’re saved as “Instant Meeting” and then the date, and those generic names might pile up. Recordings, like bouquets of fresh-picked flowers, are best when shared, so why not make it easier for yourself? Once you’re in the “my meetings” section of your account at and looking at your recording list, hover over one, then click on the pen tool. You’ll now be able edit the name to anything you’d like, and this will make searching your list much easier going forward. You list will no longer be a junk drawer you dread looking through, but an organized space where you can find past team meetings, sessions with clients, and demo videos at your fingertips.

Spruce up your personal background

While I recommend keeping your personal link static so people know where to find you, that doesn’t have to be the case for your personal background. First, take a pulse check. Has your company logo been updated? Do you have a new title to share? Has your product updated their look and feel? Update your background to reflect any of this! I like to update mine with the seasons for a cheery beginning to my meetings.

Don’t forget about your profile picture!

Recently get a great haircut? Trying out bangs or a new color? Show it off in your profile picture in upcoming meetings!

Once you’re in your next meeting, switch out a photo that might have become outdated for something fresh. Your desktop doesn’t have to be the only thing you show off in a meeting, and if you want to give your participants a 360 degree view of your new ‘do switch on video!
