Hindsight is 20/20, which is one of the reasons why makes it easy to record your meetings! Here are 5 tips and best practices for creating and managing your recordings.

Ditch the Nerves. It’s important to recognize that being recorded might make you a little more antsy than you normally would as you head into a meeting. So take a deep breath first, and prepare yourself. Read up on some conference call rules to live by before you start so you are confident you’re putting your best foot forward.

Get everyone’s OK. Before starting your meeting, be sure to ask your meeting participants if they are comfortable with having the audio portion of the call recorded. This is just a simple courtesy that will avoid any surprises when they hear “Call recording is on”. Participants will also see a recording icon that indicates the call is being recorded. So, no secrets here!

Review, and Brace For Awkwardness. We’ll give you access to the recording ASAP, and you’ll get an email with a link to the call recording once it’s processed. The link will bring you straight to a playable audio file. Brace yourself – as listening your own voice will be weird! But try not to pay that attention to that awkwardness, and instead review your content.

Sharing is caring. If your file is good to go, the best way to share your recordings is to copy the link in the email you were sent, and forward it to those you want to share it with. You can also copy the link directly from your list of recordings when logged into your account. When you scroll over the recording on the right side, click the link option followed by ‘copy link’.

Keep an Organized Library. Don’t get your recorded meetings confused – keep them organized! To access your library just log into your account at Under the ‘my meetings’ tab, click ‘recordings’ (for Pro and Business Users, you’ll find this in your Admin Console). From here you can play or download the recordings, sort or rename them, or even delete old ones.
