join.me is designed to be fun, fast, and easy to use, but a lot of folks don’t realize the work that goes on in the background from people at your company to deliver that experience. I’m, of course, talking about join.me account admins. If you’re new to join.me and happen to be managing join.me accounts for your company, we’ve got some tips for you. We want managing join.me accounts to be as easy as hosting and attending meetings, so check out some of our admin console tips and tricks below:
Before you even rollout those join.me licenses that you just purchased, you should first log in to your account at www.join.me and take a trip to the Admin Console to create a “feature set”. In essence the feature set allows you to pick and choose the features that your users will have access to as well as allowing you to customize their accounts in advance. Say for instance you’d like for all of your users to have the same personal background. In the feature set options you can uploaded a background, say your company’s logo, and assign that feature to all of your users. Taking advantage of this feature of the admin console reduces a lot of the leg work for the user at the other end and gives your join.me meetings a uniform and branded look that matches your company’s personality.
Everyone likes bulk deals, whether you’re buying groceries from a wholesale club or buying 1,000 business cards online. Same goes for join.me. Instead of provisioning out your new join.me licenses one at a time, fill out our handy .CSV template and upload it to join.me to add everyone all at once. Following this best practice can save you loads of time when setting up your account by getting your users onboard as soon as possible. In addition, if your business already has a Single Sign-On service in place, join.me can also integrate with that.
