Avoid Audio Party Fouls
Even if you’re hosting a meeting with your most high-profile client, any online meeting can be a bit like a party. You want everyone to enjoy themselves, feel comfortable with each other, and appreciate your killer playlist (hello, join.me funk). Also, like a party host, you want to make sure that everything runs smoothly. In recent months, join.me has added several audio features to ensure you’re the host(ess) with the mostest, and we wanted to give you some tips on how to use the new in-app messaging, active speaker, and selective muting features as effectively as possible!
People love to click buttons almost as much as they love good guac. In the past, sometimes when a participant was already connected to a join.me conference line, they might select the option to join the computer audio as well. To ensure that this is a thing of the past, there’s now an option to confirm that you’re already on the call
No one wants to be the host that constantly has to sush their guests so the neighbors don’t complain. And, often, it’s really just one person creating much of the noise. Now, instead of silencing everyone, you can not only identify the culprit but take it a step further and selectively mute them. With these tools, distractions are cut down and any side conversations can be nipped in the bud before they derail the main event.
A lot of behind-the-scenes work goes into hosting a flawless event. Think of organizer keypad commands as your trusty co-host, especially in large meetings. With these tools, you can do things like lock out new participants, put your call into a Question & Answer mode for flexible audio controls, and even end the conference for everyone.
With these tools, your attendees will always feel free like they’re getting the red carpet treatment.
