Ever wish you could share just one file on your computer instead of your whole desktop? Welcome to window sharing, now in beta.
join.me‘s debuted a whole new look for pro Mac users, allowing you to choose either your whole desktop or just one window for your viewers to see. This way, when you’re sharing your screen, you have more control over what your viewers see – no more pesky Outlook reminders or IMs popping up in your meetings (hey, it’s happened to all of us.)
To choose a window to share, click on the drop-down arrow under the broadcast button and click “Window”. Hover over any of the open windows on your computer and click one to start sharing. Ta-da: Your viewers now only see that one window and nothing else. Now, you can share anything – without sharing everything.
Mac users can check this feature out now by signing up or signing in with their pro credentials at beta.join.me and starting a session. Since we’re still in beta, feedback is wanted and welcome at beta@join.me.

I don’t know about you, but I love my Google TV. I love it for a lot of reasons (YouTube on the big screen!) – but now I love it because I can use join.me on it, too.
As of today, you can now download our join.me viewer for your Google TV. Head on over to the Google Play store on your Google TV and get the join.me app. Watch presentations, demos, slideshows – anything you want – just like you would from your Android mobile device. Except with a bigger screen. And probably a comfier seat.

join.me has never been faster, easier or sounded so good. As of today, join.me now offers a brand-new audio system called unified audio. You can now choose to join the audio conference by internet or by phone. No matter how you join the conference, you’ll be able to hear everyone on the conference, loud and clear. Your participants can also choose how they want to join the conference – either way, everyone will be connected. (For me, internet calling is too easy to pass up.)

For the next two weeks, both free and pro join.me users will have access to unified audio. Play around with it, test it out – we promise you’ll love it. After that, internet calling will become the standard free option in join.me.
Thanks to all of the great feedback we’ve received during our beta period, we’ve made a few changes to our VoIP beta. Head on over to beta.join.me to start a session and click on the phone button. First thing you’ll notice is that we added the capability to mute everyone and turn chimes on/off . No matter if you joined the audio conference by internet or by phone, you have the ability to mute everyone and turn chimes on / off right in the app.
We also gave you more control over what devices you use when you join by internet. 
From the drop-down menus in “audio settings”, you can select what device you’d like to use for your speakers or your microphone. To test your audio, you can press the orange “play” button to hear a ring coming from your computer to make sure your speakers work. Don’t forget that you can also adjust the levels of your speakers and microphone if its too loud or soft for you.
