Today’s a good day for everyone who’s upgraded to Windows 8 – join.me now fully supports both sharing and viewing in Windows 8. Don’t have Windows 8 yet? There’s still two cool enhancements to join.me: One, your desktop app will now autofill (in the “join” field) your frequently visited personal URL’s. (Read: Less typing for you.) You can also move the join.me menu behind what you’re sharing – it’s a little more flexible now.
Happy sharing – let us know what you think in the comments.
Thanks maggie, product expert!

Can you let us know if join.me is planning on enhancing the Windows RT app so that it can host a meeting and/or control the screen of a meeting? I’m writing this on a Surface RT, to clarify what I am asking about. I am really glad to see the app there at all, so thank you for that!

Hi,
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to host meeting with a Surface running RT – you can only view.
If you’d like to request this feature, head on over to ideas.join.me – our new idea community.

Did you ever get a response if the SURFACE running RT will be able to run Join.me?

It’s always exciting to read articles from other writers and practice something from other sites.
Odd when a cmd prompt is brought up or i launch a control panel applet i loose control in join.me is this a known issue? I have to have the user click and type for me until cmd prompt or applet is closed.
